I Don't Like Rich People and Neither Does Jesus . . . Maybe: the Super Religious and the Widow's Mite (Mark 12:38-44)

In the growing list of things that bug Pastor Jace, let's add this one: Rich people bug me. Fortunately none of you are in the rich category--how could you be? Rich people are those people who make more than you do, right? This week in Mark 12:38-44 Jesus is going to do some people watching and make some pretty relevant comments about two kinds of people--the rich, religious leaders and the poor widow. And as is often the case in Mark's gospel, Jesus is going to demand some pretty radical discipleship. Very relevant for those who live in the 8th wealthiest county in the country and for everyone else too. But its not just about Christian giving, its about He who already gave. Listen and celebrate everything Jesus gave up on our behalf--because thats really what it's all about.
